GSCI has created an online sortable table of state scores and participation rates. Georgia's participation rate remains high at 71%. This is often mentioned as an excuse for low performance; however, the data shows that we trail many states with similar participation rates. Sorting the table by Math scores illustrates that this is the weakest area. Only Maine and the District of Columbia have lower math scores. The Georgia Department of Education is implementing a new curriculum, which hopefully, will improve scores in math.

The Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education has provided further analysis of the SAT scores and some of the factors that correlate with higher SAT scores. Click here to view their analysis.
